Ross Quinn’s ‘Away With Me’ continues to show off his talent for carefully constructed composition after turning heads a few weeks back with his debut single, ‘You’. The accompaniment he provides himself is atmospheric and beat-heavy, choosing atypical sounds and textures over standard block chords. However, it is his vocal ability that takes precedent here. Floating above the beat with an airy confidence, he adds to the dreamy tone with addictive melodies. After kicking off his own work alongside the likes of Wiley and Stormzy at Gin Factory studios, he has been exposed to the behind the scenes action on a lot of great music, so his debut EP, due for a summer 2020 release, should be a treat. - Dan Peeke
